Scoil Chaitríona has a proud tradition in Gaelic games. The school’s proudest moment was in 2008 when the Under 18 footballers won the All Ireland Championship. (Read about that here) The football teams have been making a steady progression up through the grades and are currently participating in the Senior B league.
The Senior team won the Dublin B Championship in 2011 and lost out narrowly in the Leinster final that year also. They were runners up in the Dublin Championship in 2014/15
There are three football teams in the school at present

- Under 14
Current Dublin stars Ciarán Kilkenny and Aaron Ó Broin are past-pupils of the school.
